INTRODUCTION

Spill Clean-up Procedure

Clean spills in accordance with established biosafety practices and follow instructions provided in the
Material Safety Data Sheet. In general, safe work practices for cleaning spills include:
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves, lab coat, and protective eye wear.

Absorb the spill with absorbent material.
2.
Wipe the spill area with detergent solution.
3.
Wipe the area with an appropriate disinfectant such as 0.1% sodium hypochlorite.
4.
Dispose of spilled and contaminated material in accordance with the facilities waste disposal
