19. When "12" is displayed in STATE, power genera-
tion starts. Indicators "GEN" and "GRD" illumi-
nate.
Note
A fault has occurred during the commissioning
process if the display alternately shows "End" and
"n1", "n2" or "n3". For explanations see the fol-
lowing table.
■ Find the cause of the fault.
■ Switch the fuel cell module OFF and ON using
the ON/OFF switch and initiate a new starting
procedure.
If a fault occurs again or the cause of the fault is

Note
The fuel cell module will return into operation only if
"Ecological", "Economical" or "Energy manager
OFF" has been selected on the programming unit of
the gas condensing module.

For installation without an external electricity meter,
select operating mode "Energy manager OFF".

5. Check that the "MNT" indicator on the fuel cell
module programming unit is OFF.
If the indicator is still illuminated, carry out the fol-
lowing steps.

20. Terminate maintenance mode if the transferred
electrical output is more than 600 W. See energy
cockpit on the gas condensing module program-
ming unit.
21. Refit the programming unit cover.
Remedy
Remedy the cause for the lack of heat transfer.
Use consumers to draw off heat until the "n1"
message disappears.
Wait until cooling mode has terminated and the
"n2" message disappears. The process takes
about 90 min.
Inform Viessmann Technical Services.
Terminating maintenance mode on the fuel cell
module programming unit
1. Check that "Ecological", "Economical" or
"Energy manager OFF" is selected on the gas
condensing module programming unit. If not, select
one of the operating modes.
2. Use / to select "17" on the fuel cell module pro-
gramming unit.
3. Press and hold SET for at least 3 s.
"OFF" will appear in STATE.
Maintenance mode has terminated if the "MNT"
indicator is no longer illuminated.
