(cont.)
Cause
Lead break, flow tempera-
ture sensor
Real-time clock fault
Communication error, fuel
cell
Communication error,
burner control unit
Temperature limiter has
responded
Ionisation current calibra-
tion error
Air/gas ratio

side the permissible range
Troubleshooting
Measures
Check flow temperature sensor on
the burner control unit (see
page 130).
Reset burner.
Set the time.
Check the connecting cable to the
fuel cell.
Check the connecting cable to the
burner control unit.
Reset burner.
Ensure adequate heat transfer.
Check system for condensate
backup.
Note
To prevent water damage, de-
tach fan unit before removing the
burner.
Remove condensate backup.
Reset burner.
Check the gas supply pressure.
Check gas train strainer on the
inlet side for contamination.
Check ionisation electrode for
contamination.
Check gap between ionisation
electrode and burner gauze as-
sembly (see page 72).
Reset burner.
Check flue system; remove flue
gas recirculation if required.
Check the connecting cable to
the fan unit.
Check impeller for ease of opera-
tion.
Reset burner.
Check ignition electrodes and con-
necting cables.
Check ionisation electrode and
connecting cable.
Reset burner.
Check connecting cables to the
gas train for damage.
Check gas train.
Check flue system for blockages or
constrictions.
Reset burner.
Check the mass flow sensor at the
fan unit. Check the flue system for
flue gas back pressure.
Check ignition electrodes and con-
necting cables.
Check ionisation electrode and
connecting cable.
Reset burner.
