The Veroval ECG and blood pressure monitor conforms to European regula-
®
tions, which are based on the European Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC,
and bears the CE mark.
The device complies, for example, with the European Standard EN 1060:
Non-invasive sphygmomanometers - Part 1: General requirements and Part
3: Additional requirements for electro-mechanical blood pressure measuring
systems and the standard EN 80601-2-30.
The clinical testing of measuring accuracy was performed according to the
European Standard EN 1060-4 as well as to EN 81060-2.
Beyond statutory requirements, the monitor has been clinically validated by the
ESH-IP2 Protocol of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH).
The ECG device complies with the Medical Device Directive and the standards
IEC 60601-2-25 (Medical electrical equipment – Part 2-25: Particular require-
ments for the safety of electrocardiographs) and IEC 60601-2-47 (Medical
devices – Part 2-47: Particular requirements for the basic safety and essential
performance of ambulatory electrocardiographic systems).
