The electrodes on the device must not come into contact with other electrically
conducting parts (including earth wires).
The device must not be exposed to static electricity. Always ensure that you
have not built up any static electricity before operating the device.
Do not expose the monitor to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust or direct
sunlight because this may cause it to malfunction.
Keep the packaging, batteries and monitor out of the reach of children.
Please comply with the storage and operating conditions defined in Chapter
14 Technical data. Storage or use outside the specified temperature and humi-
dity range can affect the accuracy of the measurement or the function of the
monitor.
Do not use the monitor near strong electromagnetic fields and keep away from
radio equipment or mobile phones. Portable and mobile high-frequency and
communication devices, such as telephones and mobile phones, can impair the
functionality of this electronic medical device.
Instructions for the metrological check
Every Veroval device has been carefully tested by HARTMANN for measurement
®
accuracy and has been developed with a view to a long service life. We recom-
mend carrying out a metrological check every 2 years for devices in professio-
nal use, for example, in pharmacies, medical practices or hospitals. Please also
observe the national regulations specified by the legislator. Metrological checks
may only be carried out by the competent authorities or authorised maintenance
providers against cost reimbursement.
Instructions for calibration mode for the blood pressure function
A functional check of the monitor can be carried out on people or using a sui-
table simulator. A metrological check involves testing for leaks in the pressure
system and possible deviations in the pressure reading. To reach the calibration
mode, hold the START/STOP button
Settings button. Release the button after a few seconds and wait 10 seconds. '0'
appears on the display. Instructions on the metrological check will be supplied by
HARTMANN upon request to the competent authorities or authorised maintenan-
ce providers.
