Replacing the Adapter's plug in High-capacity ink pack
adapter
When the high-capacity ink pack adapter is inserted/removed in a certain number of times, the adapter's
plug should be replaced.
If it reaches the end of its lifetime, "[*] Change Plug" appears on the panel (*: displays the slot number
to be replaced).
The message can be cancelled by pressing any key, however the massage will always appear after
printing until the replacement is completed.
For the replacement procedures, see "3.3 Replacing Adapter's plug" in high-capacity ink pack adapter
operation manual.
When inserting the replaced adapter, the following message appears:
"[*] Plug Changed? No"
Choose "Yes" by pressing [+]/[-] keys and press Enter. The adapter's plug lifetime counter will be reset.
NOTE
• "[*] Plug Changed? No" appears by simply inserting/removing the adapter regardless of whether
the adapter's plug is actually replaced or not.
• If the adapter's plug is not replaced, do not choose "Yes".
Ink leakage may occur by continuing to use such adapter's plug.
• If you replace the adapter's plug without receiving the replacement message ([*] Change Plug), go
to
5.7.2.2 Plug Life initialization menu
If not, it continues to count so that the next replacement message will appear shorter than usual.
