Connecting the printer to PC

This section explains how to connect the printer and a PC.
3.8.1

System requirements

The operating systems with which this printer is compatible are as follows.

• The required memory varies depending on the application software or the print data type.
• A large hard disk and memory are recommended.
• For the system requirements for the operation of the software server RIP (option), refer to the
operation manual of the software server RIP.
3.8.2

Print Support Software

To get the best out of this product, use the ValueJet Print Server (VPS) function available from ValueJet
Status Monitor (VSM).
You can download VSM from the ValueJet Club Server.
NOTE
• When VJ-1638UH is selected in VSM, the VPS function will be valid.
To use VPS, specify the output port of RIP software to VPS.
