Replacing consumable components
This section describes when and how to replace the ink cartridges, roll media and flushing-box sponges.
6.4.1
Replacing ink cartridges
CAUTION
• Store ink cartridges in a cool and dark place avoid direct sunlight.
• After opening the aluminum package, put the cartridge back in the opened package
to store.
UV curable ink will be cure gradually through exposing to ultraviolet light and may
lead to a printermalfunction.
• Do not disassemble the ink cartridges.
If disassembled, there is a possibility that ink might come into contact with eyes or
skin.
(1) Replacement time
a. When "[*******] InkNearEnd" is displayed on the operation panel.
•
This message is displayed when there is a small amount of ink remaining in the ink cartridge.
•
The alarm buzzer sounds.
To stop the buzzer, press the [Enter] key on the operation panel.
•
Replace with new ink cartridges.
b. When "[*******] InkEnd" is displayed on the operation panel.
•
This message is displayed when there is no ink remaining in the ink cartridge.
•
Printing operation stops.
•
The alarm buzzer sounds.
To stop the buzzer, press the [Enter] key on the operation panel.
•
Replace with new ink cartridges immediately.
