Product Introduction

The VeEX RTU-4000 is a rack mountable test chassis. The RTU-4100 is a test module designed
to provide OTDR functionality. The RTU-4000 with installed RTU-4100 (RTU) is a rackmount test
solution that can be used for:
• On-Demand testing
• Continuous monitoring when paired with the OX4000 series optical switch; installed on the
same rack as the RTU.
The RTU can be used in stand-alone mode or as a test probe configured as part of the VeSion
centralized server system
Ethernet port or optional LTE model via the embedded web-based software, Fiberizer Desktop, or
VeSion software application. The RTU can be used to test/monitor Point-to-Point, PON and/or
DWDM networks.
The RTU test capability can be increased by integrating the external OXA-4000 Optical Switch.
The OXA-4000 is connected to the RTU-4000 via DB25 cable which is used to power the switch
and support communication between the RTU and switch.
