    Lightning - For added protection for this video product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet. This will prevent damage to the BARCO product due to lightning and AC power-line surges.

    Some Image Generators (IG) need to know which type of ’monitor’ is connected, in case no monitor ID bits are detected, no image is sent to the RGB outputs on the IG. These ID bits are emulated by the BARCO Duet II and sent to the IG using the ID Bit Identification connection.

    BARCO Duet II. 1. Disable the Phase Adjust pattern on the BARCO Duet II and generate a Pixel On/Off pattern on the IG e.g. a focus pattern. Note: When the IG is a PC using a Windows™ based operating system, a pixel On/Off pattern can be generated by shutting down the system, press the start button and select shutdown, a transparent pixel On/Off mask will be displayed in com- bination with the shutdown menu.

    1. Press ENTER on the RCU to start up the adjustment mode. (image 5-1) Note: When entering the Adjustment Mode, the Duet II menu’s are displayed on the LCD display of the BARCO Duet II. The menu’s of the Duet II are also projected on top of the projected images and the menus generated by the projector. Only the projected menus are mentioned in this manual.

    The Menu Display Time When the Auto Menu disable setting is set to ’On’ and no key is pressed during the first 10 seconds the BARCO Duet II automatically will close all menu’s and exit the adjustment mode. To disable this ’10 seconds adjustment time’ set the Auto Menu disable to ’Off”.

    Connecting a new source Before using a new Stereo Source, a correct file has to be installed. The BARCO Duet II ’s memory contains a list of files corre- sponding to the most used Stereo Sources. When the new Stereo Source corresponds with one of these files, the file can be loaded and saved for future use.

    When Stereo FreeRun is enabled and an external Stereo Sync signal is not provided or connected to the BARCO Duet II, a Stereo Sync is provided internally by the BARCO Duet II, i.e. the BARCO Duet II will always provide an image, this will allow an easy setup of the desired stereo application on the IG.

    What can be done ? When a Duet II is put in front of a Barco WND 264 i.e. when the output of a WND 264 is connected to the Duet II, this item must be activated (select WND 264 Present). This is necessary to inform the Duet II on the possibly changing number of vertical lines of the input signal (signal coming out of the WND 264).
