Restricted access location The DP2K-32B digital projector may only be installed in a restricted access location, due to the temperature rise of parts of the equipment (air outlet). The definition of a “restricted access location" is a location for equipment where both of following paragraphs apply: •...
Lightning - For added protection for this video product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, remove all power from the projector. This will prevent damage to the projector due to lightning and AC power-line surges. R59770491 DP2K-32B 30/04/2010...

2. GENERAL About this chapter Read this chapter before installing your DP2K-32B. It contains important information concerning installation requirements for the DP2K-32B, such as minimum and maximum allowed ambient temperature, humidity conditions, required safety area around the installed projector, required power net, etc.
Main Power requirements The DP2K-32B operates from a nominal 230/400V 3W+N+PE 15A 50-60Hz (Y connection) or 208V 3W+PE 25A 50-60Hz (Δ con- nection). The projector must be switched internally between a star connection to a delta connection or vice versa. See "Power input setup", page 24.
Projector weight Do not underestimate the weight of the Barco DP2K-32B. The projector weights about ±140 kg (±309 lb.) without lens. Be sure that the pedestal on which the projector has to be installed is capable of handling five (5) times the complete load of the system.

Projector tilting In an ideal installation, the DP2K-32B lens surface is centered with and parallel to the screen. This orientation helps to ensure optimized lens performances with minimal offset. If this position is not possible (such as when the projector is significantly higher than the center of the screen), it is better to rely on offset rather than extra tilt.

About this chapter This chapter gives an overview of all available lenses for the DP2K-32B projector and describes how to install and remove a lens from the projector lens holder. The lens formulas in this chapter will help to determine the correct lens for your application.
SW. Tip: Divide PD by SW to determine the approximate throw ratio. Choose a Lens, which captures the calculated throw ratio. Use the lens formula of the chosen Lens to recalculate exactly. Image 5-6 Projector distance R59770491 DP2K-32B 30/04/2010...
Due to production tolerances the real distances can differ by 2% from these calculated values. For critical situations (fixed installs that use the lens at one of its extreme zoom positions) this should be taken into account. R59770491 DP2K-32B 30/04/2010...

If the current liquid cooling level is somewhere between Min and Max, then no action should be taken. If the current liquid cooling level is approaching the Min level point, start the refill procedure. If you cannot see the level, open the filler cap and shine a torch into the reservoir R59770491 DP2K-32B 30/04/2010...
3. Fill the reservoir with cooling liquid until the level is equal with the Max indication on the reservoir. 4. Close the reservoir again. Turn the filler cap clockwise to close the reservoir. 5. Reinstall the side cover. AUTION Never fill above Max level mark ! R59770491 DP2K-32B 30/04/2010...
