User-configurable profiles

Introduction
Apart from the 7 standard profiles for dial-up mode (profile 0 to 6) and dedicated line mode
(profile 8 to 14), the MD3 modem makes a freely configurable profile available for every
mode. Profile 7 is freely configurable profile for dial-up mode, profile 15 for dedicated line
mode.
The configuration of both profiles is performed by a PC using At commands. To do this, the
PC and modem are connected to each other via a cable. On the PC the connecting cable is
connected to COM1 or COM2, on the modem via the RS-232 interface.
The AT commands are transferred by a terminal program. Hyper-Terminal of WINDOWS is
suitable for this.
Connection between PC and modem
To transfer the AT commands, the connection is established between the PC and modem
with the SINAUT ST7 standard cable 6NH7701-4AL. If the standard cable is not available, a
