Freely configurable profile 7 for dial-up mode
If none of the standard profiles 0 to 6 is suitable for the required application, profile 7 can be
configured by the user and saved in non-volatile memory. In the factory setting, the
configurations of profiles 7 and 0 are identical.
To configure profile 7, all the AT commands are available that are listed in the separately
available MD3 description 6NH7811-0AA31.
To configure profile 7 proceed as follows:
1. Power supply of the modem OFF.
2. Set standard profile 7 on the modem (with the DIL switch SW2).
3. Connect the modem to the PC via its RS-232 interface.
4. Power supply of the modem ON.
5. Using the terminal program transfer the required AT commands to the MD3.
6. Save the profile in the non-volatile memory.
Input: AT &W7
Modem: OK
Freely configurable profile 15 for dedicated line mode
The freely configurable dedicated line profile 15 is intended mainly for applications in the
dedicated line mode in which the RS-485 interface of the MD3 is used. Of course, profile 15
can also be configured so that it works in conjunction with the RS-232 interface. This makes
sense when, for example, the user requires a transmission rate not made available by any of
the standard profiles 8 to 14.
To configure profile 15, all the AT commands are available that are listed in section 6 of the
separately available MD3 description 6NH7811-0AA31.
