4.3.2 Displaying the Status of a Single System Component

Before you remove a component that is duplexed for fault tolerance, verify that it is not in a simplex state. To
verify the state of a component, type a command in the following format:
# ftsmaint ls path
For path, specify the correct value for the component, as listed in Table 1.
The value of Op State specifies whether the device is in a simplex state: the value is generally either DUPLEX
or SIMPLEX.
The following examples demonstrate some common commands and the resulting output.
In Example 2, the PCI module 1 is listed as having a State of ONLINE and an OP State of DUPLEX. The value
of SECONDARY for Reason indicates that it is operating as the backup I/O element.
