Installation Procedures
Preparation
1. Use another computer connected to the Internet to download the latest drivers
available per
NOTE: If you do not have Windows 10 install media, use Microsoft's Media Creation Tool
(on another computer) to create a bootable USB flash drive or DVD.
2. Identify which CPU will be the installation target (the PCIE-7217 has two separate CPU
complexes) and ensure the targeted CPU is configured as the management CPU
(mCPU) in the MegaRAC GUI.
NOTE: When installing Windows 10 on the mCPU, make sure no other drives are installed
on the I/O module.
3. Configure the MaxCore
designed to be headless (no display) so this feature is required because it will be the
initial interface to the OS.

4. Change the BIOS configuration to display on the BMC VGA to enable the KVM console
from MegaRAC web interface on the PCIE-7217:
BIOS >> Advance >> System Agent Configuration >> Graphics Configuration >>
Primary Display >> PCIe
Install Windows
1. With the targeted CPU powered down, connect your Windows Installation Media
device (and USB optical drive, if the Windows image is on a CD/DVD) into the
corresponding USB port.
2. Start a JViewer session if you haven't already.
3. Power up the CPU.
4. BIOS will attempt to boot from the device installed in Step 1 by default. If it does not,
reboot the CPU and press F4 when prompted to select Windows Boot Manager as the
boot device.
5. Once Windows Setup starts, follow all setup instructions.
