Setting the bale density

Note!
Reduction of the bale density is recommended:
• for hey, if an airy bale core is desired.
• for extremely short and dry material, if material jams in the
feed area occur.
8.3.1 RP 405 SPECIAL and RP 435
Basic setup:
Turn handwheel (Figure 81) clockwise up to the stop.
Turn handwheel a full rotation back.
Bale test bale and assess quality.
If required: readjust bale density.
The preset bale density (i. e. the baling pressure) is indicated
on the pressure gauge [1] (Figure 82):
Interrupt power supply to BALERCONTROL control box (pull
plug).
Open the tail gate. The tail gate now opens slowly and does
not reach its highest position.
Read preset bale density (i. e. the baling pressure) on the
pressure gauge [1].
