Setting the edge clearances

For lateral limitation of the twine wrapping at the ends of the
bale:
adjust the left and right range spacer [1] (only the right
machine side is shown in Figure 30 and Figure 31).
With very dry and brittle crop materials select the retainers
in the middle of the baler.
5.4

Adjusting the wrapping distance

The distance between the wrappings is given by the diameter
used for the variable diameter disc [9] (Figure 28). The smaller
the effective diameter of the disc, the greater the distance
between the wrappings.
A lever [2] used to adjust the wrapping distance is located on
the far right-hand end (in travelling direction) of the binding bar
[2] (Figure 30 and Figure 32).
Swivelling the lever towards the machine centre will move
the two halves of the variable diameter disc apart, reduce
the effective diameter of the variable diameter disc and
result thus in a larger twine distance. Setting:
Position 1: maximum wrapping distance
Position 7: minimum wrapping distance
