User's Manual
Mentioned message is displayed in case of too hot internal circuitry of the ESC 2051. Audible
tone (beep) is generated, too. In such case please wait, until internal temperature decreases -
audible signal is generated again.
Other functions of the ESC 2051 are not affected.
Device insulated !!!
Equipment under test must be isolated from ground (from the earth potential) during
measurement of PE current during operation. See chapter 4.5 for details.
> 10 mA !!
Leakage current is too high. The measurement is stopped in order to avoid damage of the ESC
2051.
!!!
(Threshold voltage drop is exceeded)

6.2. Reset of the instrument

It is advised to execute instrument's RESET in case of any malfunction. All stored data and
settings remain unchanged.
Disconnect the ESC 2051 from mains, wait 30 s and plug it in again in order to execute
RESET.

6.3. Leakage current and touch leakage current measurement methods

Substitute leakage current
Test voltage 230 V / 50 Hz is connected to exposed part and to L+N terminals of tested
equipment. Leakage current is measured on 2 kΩ shunt (Fig. 17). Leakage current consists of
prospective damaged insulation current and capacitive current which flows via internal
capacitances of tested equipment.
