TROUBLE

Low fuel pressure.

Fluctuating fuel pressure.

White smoke emitting
from exhaust, 180T only.
PIPER AIRCRAFT

AIRPLANE MAINTENANCE MANUAL
CAUSE
Restricted flow.
Air leakage in fuel pump
pressure line.
Fuel selector not to correct travel.
Vapor in fuel lines.
Fuel gauge line leak.
Turbo is coking, oil forced
through seal in housing.

REMEDY
Check and flush fuel lines.
Locate and correct.
Adjust fuel selector control.
Operate auxiliary pump till
system clears.
Purge gauge line and tighten
connections.
Clean or change turbocharger.
