Install the replacement hard drive or server

If you are replacing both the server and the hard drive, complete Steps

To install a new hard drive and/or replace the S8300C or S8300D Server:

1. Loosen the two thumb screws on the S8300C or S8300D Server.

2. Remove the S8300C or S8300D Server from the media gateway.

3. From the bottom of the S8300C or S8300D Server, remove the two screws that attach to the

hard-drive standoffs (Refer to

24 Job Aids for Field Replacements (FRUs) for the Avaya S8300 Server with the G700 Media Gateway

and complete the remainder of this section.
