Maintaining the cooling system
The high-intensity lamps and electronics rely on a variety of components to reduce internal operating
temperatures.
Regular checkup and maintenance of the entire cooling system is critical to prevent overheating and
sudden projector failure and helps make sure reliable operation of all projector components over time.
Ventilation
Use the following guidelines when maintaining ventilation.
•
Do not place the projector near a heat source or in an enclosure, unless proper ventilation is
provided.
•
Do not insert objects into the ventilation openings of the projector.
•
Do not spill liquids of any kind into the projector. Should an accidental spill occur, immediately
unplug the projector and have it serviced by a qualified service technician.
Power supplies
Power supplies are not serviceable. Never open or attempt to service a power supply. Contact Christie

Preventative measures
Never touch or blow on the panels.
To avoid the risk of scratching the
lens, only clean the lenses if
absolutely necessary. A small
amount of dust on the lenses has
little effect on picture quality. The
projection lens should be free of
dust and fingerprints. If the lenses
must be cleaned, use a dry, soft
cotton cloth and gently rub in a
circular motion.
Service guidelines
