Remove the crankshaft afterwards.

Remove the heads.
•
Remove the cylinders and the pistons.
•
Remove the clutch.
•
Remove the flywheel.
•
Remove the timing system.
•
Remove the oil sump.
•
Loosen the coupling screws 'A' from
inside the crankcase and remove the
connecting rods 'B'.

Check the surfaces of the main journals; if they are scored or oval-shaped, reface them (observing the
undersize charts), and replace the flanges and the main journals.
