Auxiliary Lenses or Filters

Tap the Auxiliary Lenses icon to access the auxiliary lenses and filters. The bottom Selection
Bar will change to display the available Auxiliary Lenses and Filters. Tap the icon again to exit the
menu.

1. Open Aperture - Tap to open the apertures of the eye. If both eyes are occluded, tap it once to open
one eye, and again to open both apertures.
2. Occluder Aperture - Tap to close the one aperture. Tap it again to close both eyes.
3. Pinhole Mask - Tap to set a pinhole mask in front of the right eye and occlude the left eye.
Tap it again to switch, occluding the right eye and placing a pinhole mask in the left eye.
4. Left Polarization Filter - Tap to put a left polarized filter in the right eye and a right polarized filter in
the left. Tap it again to set left polarization filter in both eyes.
5. Right Polarization Filter - Tap to put a right polarized filter in the right eye and a left
polarized filter in the left eye. Tap it again to set right polarization filter in both eyes.
6. Red/Green Filters - Tap to change both filters, setting a red filter for the right eye and a green filter
for the left eye. Tap it again to keep the red filter and remove the green filter.
7. Maddox Cylinder - Tap to place a horizontal Maddox cylinder in the right eye. Tap it again to place a
vertical Maddox cylinder in the left eye.
8. Dissociation Prisms - Tap to place a 6 base up prism in the right eye. Tap it again to place a 10
base in prism in the left eye.
9. Retinoscopy Lens - Tap to place the retinoscopy lenses in both eyes. (The lens power is +1.5 D
or +2.0 D, based on what was selected in the Settings menu.) Tap it again to place a pinhole mask
in the left lens. Tap it a third time to switch the pinhole mask to the right eye. Tap it a fourth time to
remove the pinhole and place the retinoscopy lenses in both eyes. Tap Open Aperture to remove the
retinoscopy lenses.
Note: Cross hair lenses do not have a screen icon. They automatically switch in when measuring PD.
They also switch in when measuring Fused Cross Cylinder addition at near. The icon appears on
the Controller in the Active Lenses/Filters.
Note: The circles adjacent to the R and L above the Active Data Field indicate which filters are in place
in the Phoroptor head apertures.
