Focusing manually
About expanded focus
If you set EXPANDED F in
menu settings (p. 226) when the POWER switch
is set to MEMORY, the
indicator appears when the focus ring is turned
and the image will be enlarged to twice its size.
The focal distance information is also displayed.
Adjustment is complete, the image returns to its
original size automatically.
To focus precisely
It is easier to focus on the subject if you adjust the
zoom to shoot at the "W" (wide-angle) position
after focusing at the "T" (telephoto) position.
When you shoot close to the subject
Focus at the end of the "W" (wide-angle)
position.

when recording a distant subject
when the subject is too close to focus on
Focal distance information is displayed for
about three seconds on the LCD screen in the
following cases:
– When switching the focus adjustment mode
from autofocus to manual
– When turning the focus ring

You cannot get correct information if you have
attached a conversion lens (optional) to your
camcorder.

Si EXPANDED F est réglé sur ON dans
paramètres du menu (p. 236) et le commutateur
POWER est réglé sur MEMORY, l'indicateur
(mise au point agrandie) apparaît lorsque vous
tournez la bague de mise au point, et l'image
double de taille. La longueur focale est également
indiquée. Lorsque le réglage est terminé, l'image
reprend sa taille normale.
Pour obtenir une image plus nette
Effectuez d'abord la mise au point en position
« T » (téléobjectif) et ajustez ensuite le zoom pour
filmer en position « W » (grand angle).
Si vous filmez tout près du sujet
Faites la mise au point en position « W » (grand
angle).

au point soit nette.
La longueur focale est indiquée pendant trois
secondes environ sur l'écran LCD dans les cas
suivants :
– Lorsque vous passez du mode autofocus au
mode de mise au point manuelle.
– Lorsque vous tournez la bague de mise au
point.
Indication de la longueur focale
L'indication ne sera pas correcte, si vous fixez un
convertisseur (en option) sur l'objectif.
