Installation

1. Install the radiator and coolant pipes. Torque
the radiator mounting bolts to specification.
Tightening torque:
7 Nm (0.7 m-kg, 5.1 ft-lb)
2. Fill with the coolant.
3. Inspect the cooling system for leaks. At-
tach the cap tester to the radiator and pump
it to the specified pressure. If the pressure
gauge drops, inspect all pipes fittings and
radiator for leaks. If leakage is
pair or replace defective parts.

Disassembly

NOTE:
It is unnecessary to disassemble the water pump,
except when there is excessive change in coolant
temperature and/or the coolant comes out of the
small hole in the right crankcase cover.
1. Drain off the coolant completely.
2. Drain off the engine oil.
3. Disconnect the outlet pipe and bypass pipe.
4. Remove the water pump cover together with
joint pipes.
5. Remove the right-side crankcase cover.
6. Remove the circlip, water pump driven gear,
and gear stopper
