7.11 View "Auto Mixer" (fig . 26)
Sometimes multiple microphones are required, but only one is used at a
time, e . g . in discussions . Due to the large number of open microphone
channels, there will be a high level of background noise . This noise can
be quite annoying . The noise gate (
eliminate low-level noise from each microphone channel . This requires,
however, precise setting of the expander/gate for each channel .
The function "Auto Mixer" is an additional option . Once you speak
into one of the microphones involved, this microphone is temporarily
the master microphone . The levels of all other microphones will be
attenuated . The following settings can be made (
1) In the category "Source Select", select all microphone inputs con-
cerned of DRM-884 .
2) Activate the function "Active Time" (ON), if required . Use the
slider control to define the time for level attenuation of the slave
microphones after the master microphone is not used any more .

7.12.1 Saving the configuration

The settings made can be saved as presets to DRM-884 or to the
computer .
To save the settings to DRM-884:
1) Select the target "Device" .
2) Select the desired storage location number from the "Preset List" .
3) Click "Save" . The following window will appear:

4) When an empty storage location ("Empty") has been selected,
enter another name for the preset . To overwrite a storage location
that is being used, change the name as required .
Note: When selecting a name for the preset, please note that there are
restrictions regarding special characters that can be shown on the display of
the device (
 box in chapter 7 .6) .
5) Click "Submit" to save or "Exit" to cancel .
6) A security prompt will appear . Confirm it .
To save the settings to a computer:
1) Select the target "Local PC" . The "Preset List" shows the files
loaded to the computer most recently .
2) Click "Save" .
3) Define the storage location and the file name and save the file .

7.12.2 Loading configurations that have been saved

To call up a configuration that has been saved as a preset to DRM-884:
1) Select the source "Device" .
2) Select the desired preset from the "Preset List" .
3) Click "Load" .
To load a configuration saved to the computer:
1) Select the source "Local PC" . The "Preset List" shows the files
loaded to the computer most recently .
2) Select one of the files from the "Preset List" or go to the row
"Load by Windows Explorer" at the top to select a file not listed .
3) Click "Load" .
4) A security prompt will appear . Confirm it .

7.12.3 Deleting configurations that have been saved

To delete a preset:
1) Select the storage location of the preset:
Device = preset saved to DRM-884
Local PC = preset (file) saved to the computer
2) Click "Delete" .
3) A security prompt will appear . Confirm it .
