Chapter 6 Software Reference

6.1 GUI Panel

The following screen shot shows the graphical user interface (GUI) displayed when
accessing the controller using the Kinesis software.
The serial number of the KPZ101 unit associated with the GUI panel, is
displayed in the top right hand corner. This information should always be
Set Arrow - Opens the settings window, so that the target drive voltage or
position can be entered - see Section 5.4.1.
Zero - Sets the piezo drive voltage to zero.
Step Arrows - used to increment or decrement the output voltage or position.
When the buttons are clicked, the piezo is driven in the selected direction, one
step per click. The step size is set by clicking the Step Button
Section 5.4.2.

Main Display - In open loop, the display shows the
voltage applied to the piezo. In closed loop, it
shows the position as a percentage of total travel.
