Log files are located on the systems hard drive in 'Shared Documents' and found in a directory named OIWlogs. Access
to log files may be required for troubleshooting or analytical purposes and can be saved to a USB memory stick.
There are two ways to access the log files for the OIW-EX Series:
1.
Direct Access: from the OIW-EX Monitor PC (this will require physical access to the PC within the analyzer for
analyzers NOT fitted with an EX USB port), or
2.
Remote Access: from a Desktop/Laptop PC via Ethernet.
5.2.1 – Direct Access
WARNING: Prior to commencing any work on the OIW analyzer, ensure the required 'hot' permits have
Direct access of data log files requires the user to obtain a 'hot' permit as the enclosure door of the analyzer may need
to be opened or, if an EX USB port is fitted, the supplied wired keyboard (non-EX rated) may be used.
When opening the door of the analyzer enclosure loosen off the bolts in the first instance then ensure all the removed
bolts, including IP washers, are stored safely for re-assembly. Note that once all bolts and washers have been removed
that there will be 'play' in the door hinges. This is a design feature which allows an even seal along the entire flame-
path. With all bolts removed, open the door fully. The PC is mounted to the door with the spare USB ports on the hinge
facing side. Locate a spare USB port(s) and insert the USB memory stick as shown in Figure 81. If a spare USB port is
not available please contact Advanced Sensors for assistance.
