D Calibration—used to set travel or rotation end points.
Calibration Status—indicates if the position monitor has been calibrated.
Calibration Date—indicates when the instrument was last calibrated.
Sensor Calibration—allows you run a calibration on the instrument. Follow the prompts on the Field Communicator to
set the zero percent (Closed) and 100 percent (Open) points to calibrate the instrument. A partial calibration may also
be performed if only one of the endpoints needs to be corrected. The device will recompute the calibration using one
newly marked end point and one previously stored endpoint.
D Power Module
Note
The Power Module menu is only available for a battery-powered device. Power Module will not be displayed if the External Power
option is installed.
Power Module Type—the type of power module installed inside the instrument (Standard, Extended Life, or External
Power). External Power is a factory option and cannot be set in the field.
Supply Voltage—a diagnostic measurement of the voltage level of the power supply.
Power Module Date—the date when the power module variables were reset; this should coincide with the power
module installation date.
Battery Life—estimate of the number of days of operation remaining, based on the current state of charge and power
usage. This information is meaningless for a device with the External Power option installed.
Reset Module Data
D Reset Device—performs a reset of the instrument firmware.

Accessing Features

Update Rate
The 4320 is shipped with a default update rate of 60 seconds. To change this either use a Field Communicator, AMS
Wireless Configurator, or AMS Device Manager. A separate update rate may be set for each of the 3 burst messages,
and each of those rates may be variable, based on the burst trigger mode used.
Field Communicator
Select Online, Configure, Manual Setup, Broadcast Information, Burst Message (0, 1, or 2) then Update Details to verify or
make changes to the update rate. Refer to the Configure menu tree shown in figure 22.
AMS Wireless Configurator or AMS Device Manager
Go to Configure, Manual Setup, then select Update Details for Burst Message 0, 1, or 2 from the Broadcast Information
tab to makes changes to the update rate. See figure 24.
