3.2.2 Application
1. Apply the knee orthosis so that the kneecap comes into the centre of the hole at the front. First
close the part of the protection which is under the kneecap and then the upper part. Use the
materials elasticity and pull up the protection's edges from both directions (Fig. 3).
2. Pull the four straps in the front and close them firmly (Fig. 4).
3. To adjust the extension stop, loosen the crossed velcro fastening in the knee fold. Adjust to the
desired length and fasten the velcro (Fig. 5). For maximum extension stop, the knee joint should
be bent when you tighten the cross.
3.3 Instruction for use and care
Material: Outlast®, aluminium splints, polyester, velcro.
Cleaning: Machine wash at 40 °C / 104 °F with a standard mild detergent. Wash out thoroughly
and let air-dry. Take out the splints and close all velcros before machine wash. We recommend
using a washing bag.
Note: Residues of cleaning agents may cause skin irritations and wear of material.
To extend the products life-time: close all velcro when not using the product.
Disposal after usage: The material used in the product is recyclable and should be disposed of
accordingly.
