1 Description
1.1 Intended use
Genu Neurexa is to be used exclusively for orthotic treatment of the knee and is exclusively suit-
able for contact with healthy skin.
1.2 Indications and effects
1.2.1 Indications
Paresis of leg muscles resulting in knee hyperextension e. g. after stroke, lumbar disc herniation,
peripheral nerve damage, etc.
Indication must be determined by the physician.
1.2.2 Effects
Genu Neurexa stabilizes the knee in the sagittal and coronal plane and prevents hyperextension
and collateral (mediolateral) instability.
It supports the sensorimotor control of the knee and facilitates gait training and physical activity.
1.3 Contraindication
1.3.1 Absolute contraindications
None.
1.3.2 Relative contraindications
In case of the following indications, consultation with a physician is required:
Skin diseases / -injuries, inflammatory symptoms, prominent scars that are swollen, reddened
and feel excessively warm when touched; Lymphatic flow disorders, including unclear soft tissue
swelling distant to the body area to which the appliance will be applied; Sensory and circulatory
disorders of the leg.
1.4 Further usage restriction
Re-use of the product is not permitted.
