Fuel Preparation/Fuel Injection
Note:
Diode test lamps with a low current consumption
do not go out fully but continue displaying a weak
light until the starter is operated.
If the diode test lamp does not come on, test
the wiring as follows:
K - Connect test box V.A.G 1598/22 to the wiring
loom to the engine control unit.
- Connect hand-held multimeter between
contact 16 of the relay base and socket 4 of
the test box and test the cable connection
for continuity.
- If there is no open circuit in the cable
connection and the diode test lamp does not
come on, replace engine control unit
⇒ page 24-55.
- If the actuation of the fuel pump relay is o.k.,
replace fuel pump relay.
- Insert fuse 28.
