Fuel Preparation/Fuel Injection
-
Unplug the connector at the ACF valve.
K -
Use the hand-held multimeter to carry out a
resistance measurement between the
contacts of the valve.
Specification: 22...30 Ω
-
If the specification is not achieved, replace
ACF valve.
Testing voltage supply of ACF valve
Note:
The voltage for the ACF valve is supplied
through the fuel pump relay.
-
Unplug the connector at the ACF valve.
K -
Connect the diode test lamp between contact
1 of the connector and engine earth.
-
Start the engine.
Specification: The diode test lamp must come on.
-
If the diode test lamp does not come on, test
the cable connection from contact 1 to the
fuse for continuity, and repair if necessary.

If the cable connection is o.k., test fuel pump
relay ⇒ page 24-52.
Testing actuation of the ACF valve
K -
Connect the diode test lamp between contact
2 and positive (+) of battery.
-
Initiate final control diagnosis (function 03)
and select the activated charcoal filter
solenoid valve (N80) ⇒ page 01-12 - Earth
point, in left engine compartment
Note:
It is not necessary to take out the fuel pump
relay and to bridge the contacts for this test.
Specification: The diode test lamp must flash.
