K Readout in display, e.g.:
Do not continue with the test until
l coolant temperature is more than 80 °C
-display block 2-
l engine has run for a further 2 minutes at idling
speed
-
Check the lambda probe voltage shown in
display block 3. The voltage must vary at
least 30 times a minute within the range
0...1.0 V.
If the specifications are not achieved:
K -
Unplug connector -1- from the coolant
temperature sender (G62) -2-. The probe
voltage must rise and drop again to the
former control range.
-
Plug in connector again. Lambda probe
voltage must drop and rise again.
If the voltage change is slower, determine the
cause ⇒ 24-12.
Note:
The throttle valve must not be operated during
the test otherwise the control unit will detect the
unplugged connector as a fault.

Press the
key.
-
Press keys 0 and 6 for the function "End data
transfer" and confirm the entry with the key Q.

Switch off the ignition.
If no control is detected:
-
Test the lambda probe heater ⇒ page 24-13.
-
Test the signal line and actuation
⇒ page 24-14.
