Fuel Preparation/Fuel Injection
- Read off the coolant temperature shown in
display block 2.
Readout
-40 °C
128 °C
approx. coolant
temperature
1) If the temperature displayed differs greatly
from the ambient temperature of the sender,
test sender cables for contact resistance.
2) Test is only possible if engine is cold.
Continuation of test if readout -40 °C:
K - Unplug the 4-pin connector -1- from the
coolant temperature sender (G62) -2-.
- Bridge contacts 1 + 3 of the connector with
the auxiliary cables from V.A.G 1594 A and
check the readout in the display.
Readout 128 °C:
- Press
- Press keys 0 and 6 for the function „End data
transfer" and confirm the entry with the key Q.
- Switch off the ignition.
- Replace the coolant temperature sender -2-

Readout -40 °C:
- Press
- Press keys 0 and 6 for the function „End data
transfer" and confirm the entry with the key Q.
- Switch off the ignition.
