- Press keys 0 and 4 for the function „Initiate
basic setting" and confirm the entry with the
key Q.
K Readout in display:
- Press the keys 001 for „Display group
number 001" and confirm the entry with the
key Q.
K Readout in display, for example:
After pressing the key Q, the throttle valve
positioner moves into the Min., Max. and into
three intermediate positions, and the control unit
stores each throttle valve angle in the permanent
memory. This procedure takes about 10
seconds. Following this, the throttle valve
remains in the start position.
Note:
If the control unit aborts the basic setting, the
cause of this may be that the throttle valve does
not reach the mechanical idle speed stop
because of dirt, e.g. oil carbon deposits. The
fault "Basic setting not carried out" is then
entered in the fault memory. The next time the
ignition is switched on, the basic setting is
performed once again automatically.
- End the basic setting of the engine by
pressing the → key.
- Press keys 0 and 6 for the function "End data
transfer" and confirm the entry with the key Q.
If the throttle valve positioner does not move:
- Check the 8-digit numerical block in display
block 4. The 2 nd , 3
right must be set to 0.

Note:
If a "1" appears at one of the places mentioned in
display block 4, the test conditions are not met:
⇒ page 01-22; Meaning of the digits in the 8-
digit numerical block.
If all the places indicate 0:
- Test the throttle valve control unit
