Self-Diagnosis
- Press the → key.
HELP K Readout in display:
- Press keys 0 and 6 for the function "End data
transfer" and confirm the entry with the key Q.
- Switch off the ignition.
Note:
After completing final control diagnosis, you
must switch off the ignition. If you do not switch
off the ignition before again starting the engine,
the engine may not start as the injectors and
the ignition transformer are not operated.
- In addition, test the cable for short circuit to
battery positive and to earth.
Specification:
- Test the cable between contact 1 of the 2-
pin connector and fuse 43 for open circuit
according to the current flow diagram.
Cable resistance: max. 1.5
If no fault is found in the wiring:
- Replace the engine control unit (J382)
