Fuel Preparation/Fuel Injection

Note:
Before disconnecting the pressure measuring
device, release the fuel pressure by opening the
shutoff cock. Hold a vessel in front of the
connection when carrying out this step.

♦ As a result of the vacuum in the intake
system, the leak detection spray is drawn in
together with the unmetered air. The leak de-
tection spray reduces the ignition performan-
ce of the mixture. This results in a drop in
engine speed and in a change in the lambda
probe value.
♦ It is essential to adhere to the safety pre-
cautions stated on the can.
