Fuel Preparation/Fuel Injection
- Replace the engine control unit (J382)
⇒ page 24-5, item 28.
Continuation of test if readout 129 °C:
K - Unplug the connector -1- from the intake air
temperature sender (G42) with intake ma-
nifold pressure sender (G71) -2-.
Readout -40 °C:
- Press the
- Press keys 0 and 6 for the function „End data
transfer" and confirm the entry with the key Q.
- Switch off the ignition.
- Replace the intake air temperature sender
with intake manifold pressure sender -2-

Readout 129 °C:
- Press the
- Press keys 0 and 6 for the function „End data
transfer" and confirm the entry with the key Q.
- Switch off the ignition.
- Unplug the connector from the engine control
unit.
- Test the cables to the control unit connector
at the 4-pin connector contact 2 for short
circuit to cable of contact 1 and also to vehicle
earth.
If no fault is found in the wiring:
- Replace the engine control unit (J382)
