DNR-X-1G Series RACKtangle and HalfRACK Systems
If you do not need to connect to a company LAN and have only a single
DNR-X-1G in your system, you can connect it directly to your host as shown in
Figure 4-4 below.

If connecting to a network, to improve DNR-X-1G network performance, we
recommend that instead of connecting to a company-wide network, you use
separate commercially available network interface controller (NIC) cards and,
where possible, set up a single dedicated mini-network for DNR-X-1G systems
for both operation and diagnostics, as shown in as shown in Figure 4-5 below.

As an alternative, you can configure two separate networks, one for operation
and one for diagnostic purposes, as shown in Figure 4-6.
