When the leading edge of the original reaches the read point, the machine sends the image
leading edge signal to its host machine to start stream reading, in which the scanner of the
host machine is fixed in place and the original is moved by the platen roller and scanned.
When reading is done, the image data collected from the original is stored in memory.
