General

Maintenance operations are important for the following reasons:
To guarantee optimum performance.
To extend the life of the equipment.
To provide an installation which offers the customer optimum comfort
over time.
Caution
Do not neglect to service the heat pump. Contact a qualified pro­
fessional or take out a maintenance contract for the obligatory an­
nual servicing of the heat pump.
Failure to service the appliance voids the warranty.
Caution
Only qualified professionals are authorised to carry out mainte­
nance work on the heat pump and the heating system.
Caution
Have the heat pump and heating system drained by a qualified
professional if the home is left empty for a long period of time and
there is a chance of frost.
Warning
Before working on the refrigeration circuit, switch off the heat
pump and wait a few minutes. Certain components such as the
compressor and the pipes can reach temperatures in excess of
100°C and high pressures, which may cause serious injuries.
Danger of electric shock
Before any work, switch off the mains supply to the heat pump.
Caution
Check the discharge on the compressor capacitor for single phase
versions. Discharge the capacitor if the voltage measured on the
terminals is in excess of 40 V. To do this, connect a resistive
charge to the capacitor terminals with a value of between 1 kohm
and 10 kohm.
Caution
After maintenance or repair work, check the entire heating system
to ensure that there are no leaks.
