Frost Protection

Important
Give priority to the HOLIDAYS operating mode if the central heat
ing system is not used for a long period. When this operating
mode is activated:
The electrical circuits continue to be powered up.
The frost protection function is activated.
1. Open the control panel flap.
2. Shut down the heat pump by throwing the ON/OFF switch.
If the central heating system is not in use and there is a risk of frost, we
recommend activating the heat pump's frost protection function. To do this,
activate the mode HOLIDAYS :
1. Press the MODE key.
2. Select HOLIDAYS mode and confirm the selection.
The integrated frost protection device is now activated.
If the temperature of the heating water in the heat pump falls too much,
the integrated protection device switches itself on. This device functions as
follows:
If the water temperature is lower than 7°C, the circulating pump starts
up.
If the water temperature is lower than 4°C, the heat pump starts up.
If the water temperature is higher than 15 °C, the heat pump shuts down
and the circulating pump continues to run for a short time.
Important
To prevent the radiators and the installation from freezing in areas
where that risk exists (in a garage, equipment room, etc.), it is
possible to connect the heat pump to a frost protection thermostat
or an outside temperature sensor.
