The alarm controls are changed just like the parameter controls—with a simple touch/adjust/
accept method:
Touch the Alarms button to enter the Alarms screen.
1.
Touch the desired alarm control (it will appear highlighted).
2.
Use the up and down arrow buttons to make the desired adjustment.
3.
Press the Accept button to confirm the change.
4.
Several adjustments can be made before accepting the changes. When satisfied with the
changes, accept them all by pressing the Accept button once.
If the Accept button has not already been pressed, press Cancel to go back to the previous set-
tings.
The minute volume alarms are expiratory minute volume alarms when the on-airway flow
sensor is in use, and they are inspiratory minute volume alarms when the on-airway flow sensor
is not in use.
WARNING:
Setting any alarm limits to zero or off, or to extreme high or low values, can cause the associated
alarm not to activate during ventilation, which reduces its efficacy for monitoring the patient
and alerting the clinician to situations that may require intervention.
Note:
All configurable alarm settings are stored in the ventilator's non-volatile internal memory, ensuring that
they are retained during power loss conditions or when the ventilator is powered off.
