REMOTELY MANAGING THE DISPLAY
4. Configure the serial interface settings using the following values, and then press ENTER.
Baud rate
Data length
Parity bit
Stop bit
A command prompt (>) appears on the following line, and the display can now accept
commands from the computer. If the command prompt (>) doesn't appear, press Enter on
your keyboard.
NOTE
If no message appears or an error message appears, the serial interface isn't configured
correctly. Repeat steps 3 and 4.

Power states

The display has the following power states:
Power state
Description
ON
The display is in normal operating mode.
READY
The screen is off, but the display is ready to turn on when:

SOFT OFF (low
The screen is in a low power state (soft off)and won't respond to RS-232
power state)
commands. Disable Power saving mode to prevent the display from entering
a low power state. See Power saving mode on page 58.
The display turns on when:

UPDATEON
The display is updating firmware. Do not turn off the display.
