In most circumstances, there is no need to directly modify the Linux configuration.
However, in some cases this may be necessary. A simple way to do this is to connect
using SSH (Secure Shell). On Mac OSX, this can be done through the Terminal
application. On Windows®, you will need to download and install an application that
contains an SSH client such as "PuTTY".
Making changes to the Linux operating system, which are not described
within this User Manual, may void the warranty and limit support options.
This includes the installation of third-party Linux software packages.
