PREPARATION BEFORE REPLACEMENT
1. Start the printer in the Serviceman Mode.
Turn on the printer while pressing [Menu] + [Back] + [OK].
2. Start the service program and select
ADJUSTMENT (Sequence).
3. Select Damper Kit Counter.
Press the [Run] button to reset the counter.
4. Turn off the printer.
5. Start the printer in the Serviceman Mode.
Turn on the printer while pressing [Menu] + [Back] + [OK].
6. Select Tube inner pressure reduction.
Press the [Run] button to reduce the pressure in the tube.
7. Select Switch between Ink cartridges and Ink
Select All channels and Ink Cartridge for

8. Select Auto CR unlock & move CR to full column

The CR lock is released and the CR Unit moves to the full side, then the printer

Disassembly and Assembly Procedure
REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the Left Rear Cover.
2. Remove the Left Upper Cover.
3. Remove the CR Cover.
4. Remove the three screws that secure the Damper Kit.
A) Silver M3x10 screw: 3 pcs
When the Ink Path Joint is removed at the following step, ink may

5. Remove the clamp.
6. Remove the two screws that secure the Ink Path Holder Assy.
B) Silver M3x10 screw: 2 pcs
7. While lifting the Ink Path Holder Assy, remove the two screws and remove the Ink
Path Joint.
C) Silver M3x10: 2 pcs
8. Remove the two Joint Rubbers from the Ink Path Joint.
Before attaching the Joint Rubbers, let them get wet with cleaning
liquid.
9. Lift the Damper Kit and remove it from the CR Unit.
