HEWLETT-PACKARD
MODEL 9616
The following
program sends a command string to the Model 194 from a Hewlett-Packard
Model
9816 computer and displays the instrument
reading string on the computer CRT. The computer
must be equipped
with the HP82937 GPIB Interface and BASICA 2.0.
DIRECTIONS
1. Using the front panel program feature, set the primary
address of the Model ~194 to 9.
2. With the power off, connect the Model 194 to the HP82937A GPIB interface installed in the 9816
computer.
3. Type EDIT and press the EXEC key.
4. Enter the lines in the program below, using the ENTER key after each line.
5. Press the 9816 RUN key and type in the desired command string at the command prompt. For
example, to place the instrument
in the autorange and average modes, type in ROFIX and press
the ENTER key.
6. The instrument
reading
string
will
then
appear
on the CRT. A typical
display
is:
NDCV+L2345E+O.
PROGRAM
COMMENTS
Place 194 in remote.
Prompt for and input command.
Address 194 to listen, send string.
Address 194 to talk, input reading.
Display reading string.
Repeat.
NOTE: For conversion
to a numeric variable, change the program as follows:
