MAP OF AVAILABLE ASSIGNED TRACKS
The storage map occupies words 9 through 683 and represents tracks of the mass
storage device.
That is, the map contains x bits representing x tracks.
A bit set to
1 indicates the corresponding track is assigned.
A bit set to 0 indicates the correspond-
ing track is available.
The values of variables n (number of words per MSD entry) and
x (number of bits per map) are defined in Table III- 9-4.
