Significance
Owner identification identifies a file in label directory.
File name
Edition number
Access privacy code; supplied when file is allocated;
it must be supplied for each succeeding OPEN re-
quest.
Modification privacy code; supplied when file is
allocated; it must be supplied for each RELEASE,
EXPAND, and MODIFY request.
Number of blocks (binary) allocated to a file
Reserved
Block size (binary); number of 6-bit characters in
each record block (1 through 131071).
Block count; contains, as a binary integer, the
number of the highest block written. If file is
proces sed sequentially, this corresponds to the
number of blocks written into the file (0

Usage count; binary count of number of times file
has been opened
Creation date; date supplied by I/O system when file

Device type; 6- bit code to indicate type of mass
